"This design is called a "Marble Finish", it is put on the foam prior to glassing. Really, I think one of the cooler things about surfboards because you never get two that are the same. What we do is we mix up the resin in different colors in little cups, like Dixie cups. I save all these little things, we cut them off and then fill up with resin that we use different tints, these are different colors. You actually color the resin and you put catalyst, just a little bit in each one, and you pour on a board like sparingly, we squeegee off the excess with a plastic squeegee. We squeegee the resin off like this and it kind of smashes it down. I did this board like four years ago and the cool thing about it, it does not fade. We put different colors in here. This is permanent color to the board. If you airbrush a board red it will be pink in a year."
