"Hi this is Kimo Greene and I am here to teach you how to shape a surfboard on behalf of Expert Village. Okay I am going to take the outside excess of the foam off right up to the black line with my plainer. Then I will hand sand it and fine tune it. After that I will get started shaping. What I am finishing up here is I started trimming the outline out with my plainer, and then I fine tune it with a forty grit piece of sandpaper. The board is perfectly symmetrical, so each side matches up. You take off any little bumps, because if you do not take them out now, they will show up in your final shape, bumps are not good. A lot of this I do not even have to look at, I can just feel it."
