"Okay the next step in rebounding is after you have your proper position, after the ball comes off the rim like so, then you box out and you get the ball, you want to bring the ball, keep the ball protected up high if possible or into the body and make sure you extend your elbows. Extending your elbows keeps the defender from trying to steal the ball, because nobody wants to get hit by pointy elbows. So this is always a good technique, when you get the rebound, you just extend your elbows and bring the ball up high and find the outlet pass. The "outlet pass" is the person that is running down court and you want to pass it out to them. So, example remember you have position, ball, box out, get the rebound, elbows, find the pass, whoever you want o pass it to. Example, shot, rebound, elbows, find the pass and that is rebounding."
