"Hi, I’m Kate I’m here with Zoar Outdoor on behalf of Expert Village and we’re going to talk about hiking today. We’re going to be talking about warm weather hiking apparel. If you’re going in nice weather or it could be anywhere from 70 to 90 degrees, you want to be sure to have good hiking equipment with you. You don’t necessarily want to wear cotton because you’ll be sweating and as soon as you sweat the cotton is going to absorb all your water and make you pretty cold later on because it doesn’t wick it away from your skin. I like to wear nice synthetic shorts that are baggy so when I walk they’re not going to bunch up and get all uncomfortable. I have a synthetic tank top that I always wear and then I also like to wear some synthetic long sleeves, anything that’s nice and light. I wear the long sleeves to start off and then if I get hot I always shed a layer, I don’t really want to be sweating too much. But I bring an extra thin layer for my top just in case when I stop I get cold because you’re going to be sweating a lot and it’s easily easy to get cold. The last thing I always bring even if it’s suppose to be no rain for the next 3 weeks, I always bring my raincoat, this could act as a windbreaker if you got to a summit or just if you get cold in general because no matter how warm it is you should always be prepared to be cold. There are other options of course to wear a synthetic short sleeve shorts or Capri’s, anything that kind of keeps the water away from your body and keeps you pretty comfortable throughout the day."
