" Hi! This is John again and now we are going to be talking about taking care of your knives. I first want to make it real clear. On any knife, stainless steel or carbon steel, if it used for work such as these knives right here, the diving knife, the survival knife, the skinning knife or just a bayou knife, you need to use a good quality gun oil on the blade to keep it free from rust. Any knife that will be used for eating, you don’t need to be putting oil on those blades. You just need to keep them clean and keep them in a place they are not going to be rusting. You don’t want to have oil in there when you are eating with these knives. It doesn’t taste very good and it is not very safe. "
