This is a replica of a knife that would be used on a modern military firearm M-16, assault rifle. This hole here at the bottom goes in a plug or a pin underneath the barrel, this goes over the bore itself and it attaches. So in close course combat, you would have a knife that would be on your side. You could take it out and attach it to your rifle and use that in close course combat to defend yourself. "
