" Hi! This is John again. Now let’s talk about some things you may see on a knife like this from time to time. You have a hole up here and a hole down here. Ever since they have had rifles being used in combat, people have wanted to have a knife that could be attached to there as a bayonet. Today is no different. This is a replica of a knife that would be used on a modern military firearm M-16, assault rifle. This hole here at the bottom goes in a plug or a pin underneath the barrel, this goes over the bore itself and it attaches. So in close course combat, you would have a knife that would be on your side. You could take it out and attach it to your rifle and use that in close course combat to defend yourself. "
