"Hi! My name is Julio Anta of Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Miami, Florida, and my website is www.miamikettlebell.com. And this is kettlebells for the martial artists. The next move we’re going to show you is a Sumo style squat. And you think of a Sumo wrestler getting low; that’s we are going to do. But it takes, in martial arts, depending on your system—whether you are judo, jujitsu, grappling and throwing, wrestling, you need a strong grip. You know, my system, Kung Fu, we crawl and grab and your body moves at the same time. So this move, you are going to see how you are going to be switching grips and squatting down. So it starts off just taking it straight up, and when you get up, you switch your grip—which is great for martial arts eye-hand coordination—squat down, up, switch your grip and come back down. It takes lot of coordination and flexibility, but it strengthens you incredibly for the martial arts. Ballistic non-stop motion, butt out, perfect alignment, breathe, and as you could see I am moving my whole body. Whether you are a grappler or stand-up fighter, you are simultaneously moving your body and thinking of all these things to make you a better martial artist."
