"Hi! My name is Julio Anta of Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Miami, Florida, and my website is www.miamikettlebell.com. And the move we are going to show you now…it’s called the rack position. It’s a basic move you need for a lot of moves, exact, basically a “clean.” So what we are going to do is first, grip it. We are going to go behind the kettlebell, shoulder width, little bit more of the shoulder width, shoulders back, and eyes focused forward. We’re going to grip it, we are going to do a zipping motion. Think that you are zipping up your clothing, and then push the elbow in; never leave the elbow out. There shouldn’t be a shadow here; watch the move. It’s all ballistic, bursting up, weight on my heels, butt out, back in a C curve, shoulders relaxed, and back, eyes forward…and, let it slide; don’t throw. See, there is no shadow, if you were out in the sun, and straight and up. So one quick move; I am going to do it slow, one more time to show you, and here we go: zip it up, catch it to the side and stand. So through that we can do clean and presses; we can do all types of pressing moves, all types of moves that we are going to do at kettlebells. Watch me do it a few times so you can get the idea. The rack position, which is a clean position…and down, just drop it down."
