"Hi my name is Julio Anta from Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Miami, Florida and our website is www.antakungfu.com. We are going to demonstrate a stepping back kick. Stepping back kick I am going to step behind and I am going to point my heel towards the target. If you were my target I would point it to you, I would not point it this way. So it is going to look something like this and we are going to break it down. Most important thing is in kickboxing stepping back kick is to protect your vital organs or your groin area so when I step you can see it is very tight. I’m going to lift like I coming into a front kick but then I am going to push out, look over my shoulder and I am coming back for instructional purpose. I can also step in but follow through with an attack. So, I am going to have Jeanette demonstrate. Jeannette step behind, lift, push and back. Okay. Move, you’re using your biggest muscles, your glutes and all your entire leg muscles as she pushes and she striking with her heel with the entire foot but leading with her heel. Her bottom heel is pointing at the target as she strikes her hands are up, she doesn’t want to drop her hands keeping her hands up is going to burn more calories but in the street it is protecting you because it takes a split second for the mind to notice an attack coming so keep those hands up just in case a person counters after you finish the kick. Let me show you one last perfect back kick, kick and back. "
