"Hi my name is Julio Anta with Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Miami, Florida. Our website is www.antakungfu.com. What we are going to demonstrate now is a hook. We are going to start off together with a left hook which is a front hand. Ready, move, move, move hsh and as you can see the hook is a power punch you can hit to the side of the jaw in kickboxing match or to the neck in a street fight. It takes 16 pounds of pressure to knock out a strong male so if she hits someone in the neck with that punch, she will knock them out. Lift up the heel. Power comes from the heel and from the hip. Okay. When you lift up the heel you have more power. That hit gives you the power and the elbow comes up hitting the jaw. As you can see a continuous movement. Now she is going to demonstrate the right hook. Right hook is the same thing but she is pivoting now her right foot. As you can see she is totally protected, perfect alignment of her body, shoulders, protecting her jaw, her chin is in and she has good rhythm. There is no stiffness in this and it is fast. "
