Learn the Basics of Disc Golf

" Disc gold is pretty much just like regular golf except it's absolutely free to play pretty much anywhere you go. Some courses are pay for, but I wouldn't recommend going to those. Most of the time you can go to a local park and start hucking it around. As you can see here at this park, we have cages, which is really nice. It helps a little with your accuracy and makes the game a little bit more challenging and fun. You don't necessarily need that. You can go in any sort of park or woods or open area. You can play with hitting a tree or something like that. Like I said, it's pretty much just like regular golf. There's 18 holes. There's par and there's birdies just like anything else. Most of them are 3 shots for par, but some of the longer ones that are 300+ end up being a little bit more. On a nice day like today, just go out. I missed it there, but by the end of this video I'll be learning from my old things and stepping up my game and I'll be making that shot by the end of the day. I promise. So you want to play disc golf. A few things to go before you get to the course are go online and check out to where your local courses are. Maybe even on some of the sites, you can print up a map of the course, which is sometimes helpful as sometimes these parks aren't really well maintained or well managed. You get a little bit lost finding your way through the course. It's good to know and have a little map to figure out to get from tee box to tee box. Here we are at the tee box. You see here, I look forward and there's nobody in front of me, which is really good to get a sense of your surroundings sometimes. It's a park and there's a lot of children playing. These discs would definitely hurt if they hit somebody in the head, so you want to make sure there's nobody in front of you. Just like regular golf, you give huck and sometimes it does get close to somebody Just yell out a "fore" or a "heads up" or "duck" or any other thing that makes somebody look to see that they're about to get hit by a Frisbee. Especially in the summer, it gets hot so definitely bring some water. Disc tend to get a little bit expensive. Disc like this probably cost about $15. If you're looking ot spend a little bit cheaper money, you can go to like a Play It Again Sports and pick up a disc that's used so you don't have to pay quite as much. The best thing to do is just bring a buddy along that's played before and knows the course and can kind of help you out through the course as you go. First step would be the tee box, and then we'll get on to driving, but right now let's talk about the tee box."
