Video Transcript

"Hi, I'm Karun head Brazilian instructor for Academy of Martial Arts in San Antonio and Shirts and on behalf of ExpertVillage.com we're going to be showing you how to do a collar choke. Okay, here I am in the top mount position. Again I'm going to do the same thing, I'm going to try to get as deep as I can for this first grip and sometimes it helps if I can pull out the collar a little bit with the opposite hand. So the first hand that enters I get as deep as I can and curl it back always shooting for the center of the tag in the back of the collar. Now, my second hand goes underneath my first. I try to get as deep of a grip as I can and one thing that's different about being on the top mount here is that we're going to spread our knees and its going to drive our weight forward. When I spread my knees it automatically drives my weight forward bearing down into the choke but I still continue to pull my elbows back. Spreading the legs, knees, to complete the choke. If you have a good grip with your initial grip and everything is proceeding as it should and you're using good technique you should probably tap out in seconds. Once again this is Karun. Thank you for watching these techniques on behalf of Expertvillage.com. If you need anymore information you can reach our website at Sabjj.com. Have a great day."
