Summary: Learn some paintball safety tips and safety techniques in this how-to video clip on the extreme sport.
"Hi! I’m John. Now, let’s talk a little bit about safety. As with any weapon, any other fire arm is used to shoot a projectile, always assume that this is loaded. Never ever look down at the end of this barrel. Especially, if you have a tank back here, you have a ball hopper, they may have balls and have one in the chamber. This is a good way to lose your eye real quickly. Also, never take your mask off. Even if it fogs wherever when you’re out in the middle of a paint ball battle. One of the things to prevent fogging is to use a defogging solution before you start to defog the inside of your mask so it will not fog up. A lot of new folks that are new to paint ball will get out there and take their mask off. This is an absolute no, no. You never need to take this off because one stray paint ball can put your eye out. Always leave your safety on unless you’re ready to fire. If you notice here, we have a cross bolt safety just like a regular firearm. This is in the on position. If you notice the trigger does not move. Like this, the safety if off. If you notice there is a red band here showing that it’s ready to fire, and the trigger will move. Always leave this safety on the on position until you are ready to fire."

on 8/2/2008 paintball markers are not weapons or firearms. Also, if he was following the safety rules, why did he take off the barrel plug before he had his mask on in the other video?
