How to Use A Scouting Camera to Hunt Whitetail Deer

"Hi this is John again. Another thing we’re going to talk about today is scouting cameras. You can be at your deer area 24-7 and we have a device here that can be. If you’ve wondered what is coming through an area night or day where you may have your stand, here’s an ingenious example. We have here what is called a scouting camera, the ideal place to place a scouting camera such as this is to have it near a trail where the deer have used. This is a trail as you can see through here, it’s going in and out of an area where there’s water, and you want to know what size bucks and how many bucks or how many deer are coming through this area. This camera when it’s activated properly, what it will do is the deer that will pass through the area will take a picture of them. Also it will time stamp this so you will know exactly what time of day or night the deer came through the area. This will allow – you have a signal here 24-7 to let you know what and how many is coming through the area as far as deer are concerned. This will make your hunt a lot more effective. "
