"Hi this is John again. Now we’re going to be talking about ammunition a little bit. As far as the ammunition that is available to the modern hunter. What I have here is several examples of rifle cartridges and pistol cartridges. One this being the .300 Winmag, this is usually used Out west where you would need longer ranges, 250 yards or more. This would be a good cartridge, all around cartridge, this is a .308 Winchester. This could be used anywhere in The United States, particularly in the eastern region of the US where you would maybe need a closer shot. Here is a popular pistol round, it is a .454 Casull, this cartridge has been available for about 30 years now and it is a good cartridge for all around, as far as whitetail hunting, large game with elk or even grizzly bears. Also here are some examples of different bullets that are available. This is an all copper jacketed hollow point for a .500 Smith and Wesson magnum pistol. This is a 150 grain jacket at soft point in a .30 Caliber for your 30 off 6 or .308. This is a cast bullet for a .45 long colt or a Casull. And this is a jacketed hollow point for a .44 magnum. The modern hunter has many-many bullets at his disposal for many different purposes. The main thing is to get out and shoot and practice with the weapon of your choice, so when the time comes, you’ll be able to be on target for that trophy buck. "
