Summary: An experienced deer hunter shows you how to set up and use a tree stand for deer hunting in this free video.
"The secret to any successful deer hunt is finding the ideal location to place your tree stand. Here I have a portable tree stand that I use. It has a foot climber and a section that I sit in. Disassembling the parts and put in the upper section of the tree first, adjusting for a snug fit. Next I will be putting on the lower section, attaching the straps to hold the two pieces together as I climb the tree. Now I will proceed to get in the tree lounge and climb the tree. Simple, pulling up, pushing up with my feet using the climber to climb to the height that I want for the optimum viewing of the area that I am hunting in. Now after I have got the rifle in this stand with me safely I proceed to glass the area to see if there are any deer in the area. After the hunt I am using the safety line that is attached to lower my rifle down to the ground. Next I will proceed to descend the tree trunk down to the ground the end of a fulfilling hunt for the day. "

on 11/5/2008 I have been hunting for more than 30 years and I am surprised that you call yourself an expert. One one the main rules I learned, when growing up and learning to hunt, was to NEVER use the scope on your gun to look around for game. It is very dangerous. That is why they make binoculars.
