"Hi I’m John, we’re going to be talking about two different types of scuba systems. One is the open circuit system which we have here, another is the closed circuit system which a re-breather. The open circuit has been around for about 60 years is the most widely used by people in the world today. Re-breathers have been around a little bit shorter time and they are more expensive and they’re more complicated to use, but they offer a bigger breathing efficiency and they are able to stay down deeper and longer. There are two different associations to certified divers today, one is the professional association of diving instructors, also known as PADI and the other one is the national association of under sea instructors, under water instructors, also known as NAUI/NAWI. "
