"Hi, my name is John Hickey and I am with Florida Surf Lessons. Our website is www.floridasurflessons.com. We are located out of Central and South Florida. Now I am going to be talking about extra gear that you need for your surfboard and surfing. This is the leash right here. This is a key essential thing because what it does is it keeps that board from going further away from you. Once you have this on your foot that board won’t be able to go in all the way to shore. So that is always a necessity. Also a rash guard. A rash guard is a good thing to have because if you are on that surfboard and you are paddling you are going to causing lots of rashes right here. When the sun is out you’ll want sunscreen ranging from 30 SPF and 120 SPF. They are inexpensive. Also sunscreen; sunscreen is definitely a necessity. If you have sunscreen you want to get it. Make sure you put on your ears, lips, and nose. There are two spots that people forget about and it is their eyelids and their eyes and nose is the number one cause for cancer. So we will be back in just a moment."
