"Greetings! My name is Grand Master John Le Grand otherwise known as the Phoenix Sensei. The name of our system is Lost Legacy Systems, University of Mixed Martial Arts. We are located in Coconut Creek, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, we are going to show you how to become a Mixed Martial Artist. I would like to demonstrate a variation of an arm bar. I am going to start on my back and end up on my face so this will be more of a transitional type movement. So he’s on his feet when he’s reached in to grab my neck. You end up in this position quite frequently. When you are fighting forward, your typical layback arm up. So what he’s going to do is walk around this way for me. As I’m going to protect my neck rolling off my shoulder and once he comes this way, I drop this onto his elbow, locking the arm here. You can also sit up just so you can see what is going on here. This foot is isolated the shoulder. I am either putting pressure on the shoulder, on the elbow or a combination of the two. This technique can also be done flat or you can variate this way. It depends on the body type. His arm is more my length, so I will be sitting up. "
