"Next we're going to talk about different ways of throwing discs and different grips for throwing discs. Next I'm going to demonstrate a thumber and a thumber is a very interesting throw. Its thrown a lot like the tomahawk, which is the two fingers inside the track, but what we're going to do this time is instead of using our fingers, we're actually going to use our thumb. And we're going to put our thumb in there and this is actually going to make the disc turn the opposite direction of a tomahawk. So the thumber, the most important thing about the thumber, is creating the fist and squeezing that fist as hard as you can. That's what's is important. Getting your thumb inside of that thumb track is obviously pretty important also, but creating that solid rock in your hand and holding that disc is what's going to give you your optimal distance. So, the thumber can be thrown just like the tomahawk, where I throw it over my head like a baseball, but the difference here is that if I let the disc out at this angle, its going to fly this way and if I let the disc out this angle, its going to do kind of a pendulum swing up in the air is what it looks like kind of. And you can throw this disc over your head, you can throw this disc at your side, its all going to go different ways. So, I think that the most important thing of the thumber is just the grip and its just making sure that you've got tight enough hand on the grip, you don't want any loosey-goosey. You want to make as much contact with the disc as possible and then you just want throw it out there. That's too bad. Uh, yeah, that's good so that would be the thumber."
