"Next we're going to talk about different ways of throwing discs, and different grips for throwing discs. You know when talking about grips, one of the most, the biggest misconception is how to throw your putter. And for me, I used to try to throw my putter just like I throw my mid-range or just like I throw my distance driver. But what I've learned is that holding the disc this way as a putter, it doesn't give you enough accuracy or control. And so what I have found to be important is, is that with my AVR putter here, I'm going to use this inside track for my index finger. So just like regular beach frisbee, except I'm applying a lot of pressure. So I've got my thumb on top of the flight plate, and I've got my middle finger and my thumb making contact. The only thing that separates that would be the disc. Creating that force and actually squeezing the disc is really important to do. It's more important to let go of the disc in time and not allow your hand to get in the way. So for shots at two hundred feet, most of the time all you need is a putter once you understand how to throw one. So for me, it's important to squeeze the disc hard enough and to create that where I'm in control of the plastic, it, I can feel where my hands are at. I've got my fingers all spread out underneath the flight plate. Usually I'll allow my pinkie to get right off into the edge so that I'm spread just like that and then the important part is to just throw flat straight across your chest, not taking your eye off your target. And just letting it out."
