"Next we're going to talk about some of the basic rules and regulations of disc golf. So one of the most important things is obviously it?s disc golf. And we're not putting the discs in holes. We're putting the discs in baskets. And you've probably seen these around, we're dealing with chains. The chains are actually to absorb the disc, so that the disc will fall in the basket. If the disc stays in the chains, you're good. If the disc lands stuck inside the basket, if it stays there you're good. As long as the disc is being held by the basket, you've got yourself your shot. If the disc lands on top of the basket, you're hurting. You've got to shoot it again. Which means you've got to walk up and just throw it in the basket, and take a stroke on that. So, the most important thing is to get the disc into the basket. Even if I'm on my upshot, and I throw my drive that far from the basket, I have the same process. I have to mark my disc and I have to throw the disc into the basket. You can't just walk up and hit the chains and then walk away. I do that a lot, but if I was in a tournament, I would get penalized a stroke for that, because the name of the game is putting the frisbee in the basket."
