"On behalf of Expert Village this is John Anderson. I would like to show you a strangle a single handed strangle, it's called kate te. This is done while you are on the ground and if you are sitting a stride the person or if he is on top of you. (Just lay down please) Many time you are in a tight position and this person may have his hands up to hit you or whatever. This goes in like so (his hand by neck) I'm on the Katate-Dori, he can blow his chin as much as he wants but I still got the Katate-Dori. This hand slips under and I just catch it with my thumb, I grab my wrist and lean toward his head. I'm out of the reach of his hand and everything because I can do it like this. I'll show you this in another angle. (would you just turn) Alright again, this hand has to go in like so (his hand by neck) I'm on the Katate-Dori. This slips under, move the head and lean toward his head. This is acceptance effective strangle, here on the artery wrap your hand around just catch it with your fingers. This thumb holds the head in place, you pull this arm in a horizontal plain and you strengthen this wrist where you lean into it. It's a very simplified strangle. Thank you!"
