" Hi, I’m Jim from Zoar Outdoor on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this segment we’re going to be talking about fishing gear and especially fly fishing. Last but not least on the fly box is for the little stuff. This little box contains midges, terrestrials and the really ultra small ants and things that you normally wouldn’t even see on the water, but the trout tend to key in whenever I select it. So those are the different fly boxes I got in there, I also carry my license. I carry a thermometer so I can tell by putting the thermometer in the water what the conditions are likely to be. Different water temperatures create different fish behavior. When it’s cold the fish are torpid, they won’t move to take the flies off and so you have to put the fly right in front of them. When the water is warm and at their optimal temperature, say in the mid to high 60’s, they’re much more aggressive, their metabolic rates are higher and they will take a dry fly. I’ve also got inside this container some floatant, which I use to put on the dry flies, this happens to be Loon Aquel. This is essentially a silicone material that you put on a dry fly so it repels water and will float higher. I got a material that desiccates the fly, if it’s got water in it, it’ll draw the water out so that it’ll float again. I also got strike indicators of different kinds, which you can see inside this plastic bag and I got a little bit of weight. It’s important that you have some weight if you need to get down near the bottom. And last but not least in here, I have a small flashlight so that if in my enthusiasm and exuberance I get out after dark because the fishing is so great, I have a light to find my way home. So there you have it all this stuff in one small container, pack light and it’ll work. "
