"Hi! I’m Jim Dowd with Zoar Outdoor for Expert Village to talk with you about fly casting and fly fishing. Now I’m going to put some sparkle flash on the fly. I cut off 2 strands of sparkle flash, grasp them in my fingers even up the ends like this, double them over and cut them so now I have 4 pieces. I match up the ends of the sparkle flash to where this marabou ends, make 1 turn over the shaft of the hook and a second turn, and I gather the pieces that are out in the front, draw them back and make 1 more turn. So now I’ve got flash in that marabou, and I am going to cover it with one more layer of marabou, same as before. Get about a half an inch of the material, draw it all together. In this case, I am using the scissors to help me, just pick it out. So I have an amount about like this. Place it on the hook, just like so, make a turn over, 1 more turn nice and loose and I draw this piece so that the tips on the end are equal to the first piece. See that? They are all the same. Make 1 more turn, clip the excess and now the tail is done. "
