"This is Jay on behalf of Expert Village. Here we have the beginning set of water skis, which you may want to use as a flat-bottom ski to begin with. They also sell these in concave which is for a more advanced skier, particularly a slalom skier. But here we're going to talk about just two skis. You might pick these up at your local sporting goods store and have them fitted. Being a beginner, you'd like them to come up to about your nose, nose level. The bindings, you want an easily adjustable binding for a brand-new ski. Here we have a pinch-binding, which is easy to operate in the water as opposed to knobs which you have to unscrew and screw back in. That's something to consider. It is important to keep in mind that when you select your ski there will be several materials that you can choose from. These particularly are wood. It's a heavier material. It's good for beginners because they're easier to control. You can also get a composite fiber, a honeycomb fiber, which are lighter, but they bounce around in the water a little bit. I would recommend a beginner start with a wood ski."
