"Alright, let's talk about safety issues. Before you get started on any running program there are a couple of things that you need to think about. First, if you have high blood pressure, heart of vascular problems, if you have any recurring injuries. If you've had injuries in the past and if you are over forty and male, over fifty and a female, I recommend getting a clearance from your doctor before starting any running program. Also, I recommend, if you are going to be training on trails, off roads, or in desolate areas, I recommend running with a friend and bringing a cell phone along. Very important. Also, be careful for snakes, or any wild animals, so that is why it is very important to run with a friend. If you do choose to run alone definitely bring along your cell phone. Also, injuries, if you've hand injuries. If you've had knee problems, if you have ankle problems, feet problems, running might not be the sport for you. So you might want to include cross training into your running program. If you buy a good pair of shoes and if you get clearance from your doctor, you can run however, it's a very high impact sport so I also recommend cross training. "
