"Hi, I'm PGA member Jay Golden, and on behalf of ATAP and Expert Village, we're searching for the secret of golf. One thing that's very important is to know the biggest mistake in your swing because the secret might lie into curing it. And I like to start with the simplest forms of cure. For example, let's say you top the ball, whether it's with a driver, a fairway wood, an iron -- let's say you top the ball. And when you top the ball, obviously you're club is hitting the top part of the ball, and it just rolls. You are topping the ball. Now, there are a lot of possible solutions, in terms of body angle, and when you unwind, and when you release, etc. But I like to start at the simplest part. In other words, if you're topping the ball, I like to say, "swing lower." I know that sounds too simple, but just try to swing lower -- try to hit lower on the ball. Try to sweep the ground. Try to start with the most simple solution. So if I top, and I top, now, if I just try to swing lower -- how do you swing lower? By swinging lower! That's how you swing lower. I'm going to swing this six inches from my arm. Now this one I'm going to go lower. I didn't think of moving my arm and moving my hand, I just tried to swing lower. If you have a swing flaw, and you have a mistake, go with the simple solutions first. If you top the ball, swing lower. We'll have more tips for you right here on Expert Village."
