"Hi, I'm PGA member Jay Golden, and on behalf of ATAP and Expert Village, we're talking about the short game; putting, long putting lag putting. It's not often that you'll hit a ball five feet left of the hole or five feet right of the hole. Your aim is pretty good. But distance can easily be five feet short or five feet long. Here's a trick to hit it the right distance. I used to do this when I had little babies. Jill, Jeff, and Greg. And I would put them by the hole -- okay, I'm a mean father -- but I would put them by the hole and I would putt to them. I would lag the ball to the baby. So right now I'm visualizing little Greggy there -- here Greggy, Greggy here's the ball. Now, I don't want to hit the ball so hard that I'm going to hurt him -- Greg I'm not going to hurt you -- and I don't want to hit it so short that he has to crawl to get the ball. I'm lagging the ball to the baby. I'm thinking distance. There's the baby. Lag the ball to the baby. And if it's a big breaking putt, well you can put your baby to the right of the hole or to the left of the hole, but if you lag the ball to the baby, it should improve your distance on long putting. More tips like these on Expert Village."
