"So let's show you what a roll looks like. Russell is going to do a sweep roll. Great! Did you see how his boat rolled at first and then he came up? Let's watch again. After he capsizes notice that he brings his paddle out of the water before he sweeps. Up, sweep, hip snap, and he is up. It looks easy doesn't it? But there is a lot of little puzzle pieces to this big picture here. So we are going to start with the setup. We are going to show you what Russell is doing underwater so as he is going to capsize I am going to pull him up so you can see what his position is and drop him back down. And then he is going to finish the roll. Alright, let's see what he is doing. See his face position? It is straight up at the sky. Look at his wrist. They are on the boat and his paddle blade, the face is down and the leading edge is slightly up. Okay, I am going to let him go and he is going to roll up. There is the setup and up he comes. Good job Russell."
