"There's another way to warm up the hips and this can either be in Downward Dog or Tabletop. In a previous clip I demonstrated Downward Dog, I'll go through that briefly. If for some reason you find that too challenging than I would recommend going into Tabletop for this position for this warm-up. so I will start in Downward Dog and go back to Table. Easiest way is press up into your Downward Dog, you can let your heels rest on the blanket if they don't touch or if you can get them to touch. Scoot my blanket out of the way. Press back. Than just lift the leg about hip level. You don't want to open up the hip too much. Just lift it at hip level. Than just bend the knee. Than just slowly circle the leg around about five or six times in one direction and than slowly circle the leg the other way. If for any reason this becomes too strenuous or too challenging go back to Tabletop position. Find that nice openness through your hands. Shoulders line up over the wrist. Feet have weight in them. You can bring the feet slightly towards the midline so you?re a little less than hip width apart. Bring the leg up straight at hip level and bend the knee. You can slightly turn it out, You can slowly circle the knee. You go five times on one direction and than five times in the other direction. Then you'll switch legs. Bring it at hip level, bend the knee and turn it out. Go five times on one direction. If your weight starts to pull forward like mine is doing than that means you need to pull your hands forward just slightly. Keeping that nice evenness underneath the wrist and the shoulders. Than when you?re finished open your knees up slightly so your feet can touch, don't overlap them. Press back into Child Pose so you can relax. That's a way to warm up your hips to prepare for your Yoga practice.""
