Video Transcript

"Hi we're going to talk about how to find a comfortable seat and prepare for meditation. First of all, you either can sit cross-legged with your legs out in front of you like so, whichever is more comfortable for you. The other thing you want to remember is to inner spiral your legs and pull the extra fleshy part out from underneath your sits bones. If for any reason your hips are not as open as mine, you can use a blanket underneath your seats, like so and sit on the edge. And if you still find your hips are gripping and you're not finding that comfortable position, the other thing you can add is a block or an extra blanket or a pillow. And you sit on the back of it, like so. That way your hips fall nice and open, you have a nice, relax, comfortable position. The next part of any meditation or centering is finding a place for your hands. You can either have them face down, which is a little more internal and introspective or palms up which will take energy in from the universe, things of that sort. Go behind closed eyes, and let your shoulder blades drop down in back, and let everything settle in. The next part is going to Anjali mudra or an offering our prayer hands. This can be many's meaning for different people, it can bring a significance of religion, or just joining the energy together at the center of your body. So that's how to find your center, find a comfortable seat for meditation."
