"Hi, my name is Jarred Cummings I'm here with Expert Village. We are talking about basic quad riding and now we are going to talk about riding uphill. We talked about our posture before by keeping our backs straight and nice and relaxed when we're going and driving. Now when we are going up the hill we actually want to adjust our weight kind of like in our turn. We're not going to lean left or right cause that could our vehicle to fall or sway. So what we're going to do is actually lean forward depending on the grade of the hill we might have to lean forward a little bit more or get off our bike just a little bit. Just going up a nice and easy hill we want to keep our weight forward and keep accelerating or keep our steady acceleration. We don't want to speed up to much cause that could cause our vehicle to actually flip up and over onto our backs. So we want to keep it nice and steady, nice and slow. The other thing is, we don't want to brake on top of a hill. If we have to come to a stop, depending on the grade of the hill, that could cause us to slid backwards. If we slid backwards that could actually cause us to have to accelerate again, cause us to flip. So we want to keep a nice steady even gas when we're driving up the hill."
