"We are talking about basic quad riding now we are going to talk about breaking. We are going to start off with just the foot peg by my foot here that is going to control our rear breaking which is going to be most of our breaking quad riding. We will also use our hand break which is also the rear break and we will use our left hand break which will be all four breaks. So now when we are accelerating and decelerating we really want to concentrate on our breaks and not locking them up and making them slide. So if we are accelerating really hard and we grab a fistful of breaks it is going to cause all of our tires to lock up. We don't want that because it can cause you to slide and not slow down as quickly as you can. So should you grab on your breaks and they lock up you want to ease on your break until you feel your tires to start to roll again and just ease back on nice and easy. Same thing when you get into a corner you don't want to slam on your breaks you just want to ease on to your breaks before you go into a corner. You can use your front breaks and your rear breaks that is going to be all of your stopping power for a big stop that you need to do. Otherwise you can just use your rear break which would be your hand break right here, or your foot break down here and that will slow your quad pretty nice."
