"Alright now we're going to go ahead and talk about taking the round off to the ground. It's the same practice that we just did on those mats but we're going to practice really stretching them out and pushing in our shoulders real hard. If you can get that push down, that going to get you a lot more snap into your round off to set up for a back hand spring. Now when we do a round off, we want to land if we're just doing a rebound in this kind of a position, this is my head, these are my feet, we want to land about this position so we can rebound straight up and down. Arms again right by your ears and I'm going to demonstrate that real quick. So we're just going to practice a standing round off. Now one thing you want to think about is what's called a hurdle. It's were you're going to lift your knee up as you go into your round off so you're going to lift, and lift your hands up, come back down and round off. So it's going be a motion like this, hurdle and step, I'll demonstrate that. OK, the next part we're going to talk about is a rebound. When we do a rebound like I said you want to land in this kind of a position. So when you hit the ground you're rebound is actually going to go up and back. When you're doing a back hand spring you don't land in this kind of a position, a rebound position, you land in this position that way when you rebound you jump and go back. Now if you're doing a back tuck the position is actually straight up and down so you can set for a back tuck. So remember, round off, rebound, round off, back hand spring, round off, back tuck. Now my rebounds are going to want to go backwards so I'm going to really focus I'm trying to stretch them out and make them long, so I'm going to try and rebound and push myself back in that hollow type position where I'm going to be traveling backwards. OK, so when you're doing your rebounds you want to think about power, pushing in your shoulders, that shrug that's going to get your hands off the ground and set by your ears for a back hand spring. You want to think about distance, making it long and stretched out for that power again, you want to have it really really long. So you want to remember to get your cart wheels and your round off again those are the two basic things yet the most important things when it comes to power and your advanced tumbling, back hand springs in round off, back hand springs in sequences. You really want to get those basic things down real good before you started doing the powerful things."
