"Here's our slide, we've taken out our guide rod, we have it set off to the side. We still see that I have a slide and I haven't taken out my barrel yet. What I'm going to do is I'm actually going to pick that slide up in my hand and I'm going to touch, right here. That's actually a separation between the slide and the barrel and I'm going to just flip this back over and I'm going to push up on this part of the barrel with my left index finger. You can see how it just lifts right up. What I'm going to do now is just lift that up and I'm going to take it in my right hand here and I'm just going to slide that barrel out at an angel through the bottom of the slide. Now here we have our barrel. What I like to do now that I've taken the barrel out, is I like to give it a quick look over and make sure that there's no unusual wear, unusual tear, or obstructions, maybe a machine part is not lining up with something properly. I just kind of touch it and I kind of look it over to make sure that everything is the way it should be. And it is. Then I'm just kind of do the same thing with the slide real quick now that I've taken the barrel out. I'm just going to look it over, I'm going to look at the front of the bolt. Everything seems to be in place. Got a little bit of dirt, but we're pretty good. That right there, with these four parts, is a field stripped Springfield XD 9mm. The next thing that we're going to do is we're going to start our cleaning process of these each individual parts."
