"Hi I'm Jan Kain and continuing on with our Tai Chi lesson, the next movement is actually going to look like a little combination. It's called strike parry punch. But I'm going to show it slowly at first, breaking down all of the movements, so you will be able to see and do it correctly. So starting and coming right out of your brush knee, from here go ahead and turn your left toes out, left hand palm up. Shift your weight all the way to the left so you can pick up your right, we're really, really going to work the balance. Left hand starts to circle around just a little bit as the right hand makes a soft fist, pick up the right foot, make a little tiny circular kick right out of your hip. Really, really work your balance and feel that strength on that standing leg. Put that right heel down as you strike the gong and again shifting the weight slightly to the right. You're going to take your right fist, palm up, and bring it right into your waist. And the next move that's going to follow, I'm going to show you in a moment. It's going to be your punch. And then we are going to be putting it all together. You feel the strength, the power and the balance through this whole combination."
