In these videos, our self defense expert will teach you many techniques for defending yourself from attackers. Our expert will demonstrate how to get away from many different types of holds, including hair grabs, headlocks, shirt grabs, wrist grabs, and grabs from behind. Not only will you learn how to escape these grabs, but you will also learn techniques for controlling your attacker once you have escaped.
Unfortunately, some times in order to defend yourself you must actually strike your attacker. In these videos, our expert will teach you the correct form for striking an attacker. You will learn proper punching technique, the elbow strike, and also how to turn ordinary objects into weapons if the need arises. In addition to learning how to properly strike an attacker, you will also learn how to defend and evade a punch.
" Upper elbow strike is not necessarily just hitting with this joint in your arm, but actually this part of the arm this is a hard bone which is really hard to break. So striking somebody with this part or your arm is a very effective tool whenever you want them to leave you alone. Strike in with it, and again I don’t just use my arm I’m turning my body. I’m using everything that I have full momentum so that I don’t just strike with my arm, which isn’t very good, but with everything. Again, I’m not necessarily striking with this point of my elbow, which could actually hurt me, but I‘m striking with this part of my arm. I’m hitting into the target just as I would if I was coming around to strike at a face, or striking into the body, or striking into the legs, or into the groin. Strike up into it, hit back, and don’t just use your arm use your whole body. Strike with everything that you are and everything that you have. For shorter people to strike up into larger opponents into the body, into the bladder, or striking into the groin, strike up turn your hand toward your face and toward your ear. Do not hit this way, or hopefully not that way. Do what feels natural. Strike up with your body again."
