"JASON JEANETTE: Hi. I'm Jason Jeanette. This Daniel Klapheke from Elite Martial Arts of Middle Tennessee for Expert Village. DANIEL KLAPHEKE: This is a double leg takedown or dump on a hard surface. This takedown isn't going to be your normal Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu takedown. It's not going to be as clean 'cause we're going to be on a street surface, so what we're going to do is get him on the ground with me staying up. A lot times he's going to slam his head on the concrete but I want to make sure I don't go down with him and get hurt doing it. This can happen for maybe we're standing and he throws another sucker punch and then I can shoot in or also I could, the application with ones who've got some boxing experience, so I get, you know, just be completely overwhelmed here and do it. All I want to do to make this work, whether he is doing A or B, is I'm going to step my left foot in towards the center of his body and I'm gonna--as I get here, I'm going to make sure I plant almost like I'm getting ready to tackle or push something. I'm going to get down low. Get at hold of his knees and I'm going to punch my shoulder up and back. I'm going to lift his feet this way as I drive with my-- to keep my body straight, my neck straight. I'm going to try it straight up dumping him onto his back. From there, if I need to, I could go follow up or just disengage."

on 6/24/2009 This move is very practical. And is derived from judo. The fall would really injure the opponent, especially on concrete. It even works on heavy opponents and does not require as much strength to do.
