Deer Hunting Optics & Scopes

" While out in the deer stand hunting, you want to be able to see the deer as it approaches and judge the various characteristics. If it's a buck, you know the antler size, the Crocket score, the age of the deer. One of the best ways to do that is through optics, your binoculars and your deer hunting scope. You know there are various deer hunting scopes, as long as it is one that fits well, has a descent zoom on it. A Leupold, if instance, is considered a more higher class brand and it can work well. Besides a scope, because you don't always want to be picking up your rifle, sometimes you see a quick flash of an animal or something and you just want to throw something at it real quick. You can use binoculars or a spying scope as we mentioned earlier. My personal preference is the spying scope. I like it because you have the option. Most spy scopes you can go from 15 x powers to 60x power or maybe 40x power along those lines. You can have it way out at 15x power, not all that zoomed in, and just look at the animal. If it's a long distance off you can just zoom in much further. It is light and easy to carry and it works really well if your seriously hunting and you want to judge the various characteristics of the deer antlers and stuff. A quicker, more basic approach people carry is the binoculars. There are numerous brands on this as well and powers of the magnification can range anywhere from 5x to 10x to over 40x to 50x like a spying scope. Those are you basic optics for judging the deer and judging the antlers and really enjoying the outdoors while you?re hunting."
