How to Wax a Surf Board

"We're just about to get back in the water. First, we need to get some grip on our board so we're going to have Sean put some wax down for us. Sean, just like the karate kid just real fast and all over the place. Just like that, everywhere there's wax. Up and down the board. Once again, if you only have a short board, you only have to do the areas where you're going to be standing. On a long board, you can work it up and down because you're going to be able to walk all over the board so you've got to go nose to tail. Sean's doing a perfect job. Alright Sean, come on back here. Now we're going to teach you how to paddle a surf board. Get on the board and lay on it. There you are. You're about in the center. You want to keep your legs on the board and you want to stretch your arms to each side and pretend you're swimming. That's it. Just like that, back and forth. Now, if you've come to a wave, you're going to have to turtle dive. You just kind of slide back on the board a little and grab the sides. Don't do it now, but you would roll over while wave went over you and hold the board over your head. While you're doing that, the wave is going to go over top of you and then you're just going to turn over again and come back up towards the wave. Once you do that. Now you're outside, you're going to have to turn around and stand up. Let's see you stand up goofy foot as quick as you can. Push up. Just like that. That's it. Perfect. "
