"Hey this is Hugo at Expert Village. This section is on walking. When you hear that you go what is it about. You know a lot of people don't have access to the techniques that you really need to hunt quail effectively and so sometimes if you have just a great opportunity to walk. You can take your dog with you or you can walk along a hedgerow or an area in the past that has held quail. Just walk. Having a dog with you really will help better your chances of getting the game itself; but sometimes if you just want to get away and walk along the edges it's a great time to try to jump a quail. What we have done in the past is we would walk along an area just like this, and you would of course have your gun and your dog with you. If you didn't have a dog that is fine to, just find a place that would, you know, a lot of times hold the quail and hopefully your going to just kick them up. You need to wear a good pair of boots if you are doing this kind of hunting because as you walk along you are going to be covering a lot of ground. Doing that can be a lot of fun it can be a good way to stay in shape and get good exercise; but also just to get away and enjoy the outdoors. If you don't have access to quail dogs and a way to really hunt quail effectively get out and walk some areas and you will probably find there are a lot more quail in your area than you thought."
