"Hey this is Hugo Izzo at Expert Village. This next segment is on duck calls. There are a variety of ones out there from single reed to double reed, wooden ones to acrylic. Again as you will find with duck hunting and its selection with equipment you will have a lot of choice in the matter. A couple of calls you will really want to be comfortable with is what you want. There are techniques that you can get on tape or a CD, MP3, whatever it is to listen to experts blowing duck calls and get familiar with how to blow different calls. There are several different calls from B chuckles, to a hail call, to a come back call, to a lazy hen call and all of those are used in different situations to produce a desired effect. A hail call is just a greeting call like if you see somebody you know and you say hey how's it going, that's what that is called. There is a feeding call, a chuckle, which represents the sound of ducks feeding. There is a quack that is just simply a contented duck sound. There is a come back call that is used when the duck is going away from you to tell that duck to come back to you. Again calls are simply another way to attract ducks to where you want them to be. "
