"Okay, in my years of coaching, one of the things that I've discovered, most player's biggest problem is their alignment to the ball and staying to the side of the ball. So, one of the things we have to do is fool the mind. And this drill, what we're going to do, Darren and I are going to keep it in play, just under spin backhands. Now you can do top spin backhands, you can do anything here, but we're going to keep it at this extreme angle, as you can see here. So, watch what we do and the goal is, if it's a cooperative drill, so you and your practice partner, you and your coach or whoever you're going to practice with, you want to just keep it going. It's not who wins the point. Now, you can do that , but for now, we're going to keep it simple. So you can see, how this extreme angle forces us to look at the ball a little differently than we would if we were just hitting it straight to each other. Good shot, Darren. So, of course you can make a game out of this, but you'd have to maybe use some tape or some chalk and draw some lines in. But, it forces you to get to the side of the ball and to really focus on keeping it in play. So, that's the drill, keep it in play, it's a very challenging drill but it will really bear good fruit quickly."
