"Okay, in this segment we're going to demonstrate actually hitting volleys to another player. Darren is going to be my practice partner, and we're just going to demonstrate keeping the ball in play. We're not going to do anything fancy. The goal here is to learn consistency and how to track the ball in the setup for each shot. So we're going to keep it in play, and keep our feet moving, and this is called a cooperative drill, where we're trying to help each other to keep it in play so if you were playing catch in baseball, it's the same concept, is you're trying to help each other out. So instead of using the wall, we use each other. As you get better and better at this, then you can speed it up a little bit, you can try to hit it at their feet. But you want to give them a chance to keep it in play. So if I give him a nice high one he doesn't take my head off, hopefully. But that's a reflex volley drill, and we can then do it on an angle. Just get a little different look. And this is a great practice. It'll improve your volleys quickly if you can learn to keep it in play endlessly."
