The skid boast is when your opponent has put you deep into the corner and you actually have some options and so the skid boast is you are going to take a ball and you are going to hit it high off the side wall and then it is going to hit the middle of the front wall and then come back into the crosscourt corner so let's see if I can do this, just like that. So it is a great shot, it is a lot of fun to hit and that is what a skid boast means is your opponent has put you under great pressure and you put it to the opposite corner. Now there is a backhand version to this too so let's show you that one and it is just like that and let's see if I can do it again, do it again. So you can see if you hit this shot great it buries your opponent in the opposite corner so it is a way of taking let's say a lemon and turning it into lemonade because this shot is actually fun to hit so let me show you a couple more times. And let me show you on the forehand side. So this shot is a great way of changing the pace and it's a lot of fun to hit and just remember when you practice it just throw it against the wall and that's a skid boast and it's a shot that you might not hit all the time but now you know what it means and what it looks like.
