"Hi this is Francisco Cales of Tampa, Florida with Pool Inspectors and on behalf of Expert Village our theme for today is basic pool maintenance. To skim the water we are going to be using this eighteen inch red baron net to go ahead and take as much debris as we can off the surface of the water. Once again it is important that we skim the water so that the least amount of debris in the pool is good. Anything that sticks to the bottom of the pool causes stains and discolorations of the pool. To get this leaf out of the water you want to use a circulation motion and skim the leaf off the top and go with the flow of the water and then just turn around and pick up any debris that you have in the water. The poles and nets are made from different manufacturers and are made in different sizes depending on the depth and how wide your pool is. If you are able to walk around the whole pool, then it is not too much of an issue. If you are not, you want to get a longer pool to be able to reach. If you see some debris on the bottom of the pool you can scoop it up using your basket that has an edge on the front of the net to be able to scoop it up and push it into your net."
