"Ok now I'm just going to give Gary a feed. He's going to work on his drop shot. So Gary's going to come in from the diagonal and open the face the racket, putting a little bit of under spin forcing the ball to shave towards the side wall. I'm just going to be blocking everything back. So Gary's going to hit the shot and retract, come back. So we'll demonstrate it. So move on in Gary. Excellent. So you notice how he steps with his front foot, has the racket ready. Good. Racket ready just comes underneath it and puts a little bit of under spin and side spin on it, which forces the ball to the side wall. Then I'm just, I'm getting practice here just blocking the ball back. So we both benefit from this, and it's a pretty good, that's a good shot Gary, right there good. So you notice when you hit a good drop shot, it's not enough to hit a good drop shot. You want to be able to retract back to that spot, because if your opponent does something, you want to be able to cover the whole court out of the shot. Ok. So that's a real good basic drop shot practice drill, and if you do that a lot, your shots will be shaping towards the side wall, and you'll get them right above the ten."
