"Okay, the volley for hand, all you're doing is taking the ball out of the air before it bounces. You want to open the face, want to keep the racket up. Now you want you elbow somewhere in front of your hand. See if your elbow is here, it's going to produce a very week shot. The volley for hand, if you think about the way to practice this in some ways, is you're just chopping at it. You want to just keep it in play. So I could hit it harder, softer; you see how I'm chopping at it the whole time. So the idea is to open the face, come underneath the ball. Okay so, there's a lot of things you can do with this shot once you've mastered this. The idea is constant repetition like that, that's going to get the groove and so you always think about chopping it don't think about pushing it, think about pulling and slicing it. So once again, the volley is really all about learning and it's much easier to hit this way than any other way you can. So the way the best players do it, is they, they're pulling and they're chopping and they come underneath the ball, that produces the loft."
