"Hi, Glenn Soanes again for expertvillage.com. Now that you’ve got your names in, you know what type of lane you want to play on. Now the question is do you have a ball that fits, you have your shoes, where do I stand? The approach is setup with indicators, there’s one set indicators at 10 feet and another set indicators at 15 feet. Most bowlers would take 4 steps to get to the foul line. So they’re generally working off these front set of indicators. The way you find out where you want to start is start at the foul line, four and a half steps back, that gets you to about where you’d want to be. So let’s do that, just take relaxed easy steps, there’s four and a half. I’m a little bit in front of the front set of dots. If I wanted to take five steps, there’s five and a half, I’m a little bit behind them. From a stand point we’ll start at the front set of dots. What you need to know about the dots, the center dot lines up with the headpin, that lines, the dot immediately to its right, lines up with the three pin, the next dot over to the right lines up with the six, the pin immediately to the left lines up with the two, the farthest dot lines up with the four pin. That’s important from a stand point of targeting. "
